BY ROSEMARY NONNY KNIGHT (Via EzineArticles)— Direct Sales or network marketing is a great business model for building a business that is not limited to any country. It has freedom and flexibility built into it, when it works. The problem most new consultants have is generating enough team member to make it viable. However, is this the only consideration?
There are three key things to consider when getting your business off the ground.
Adore the product that you choose to promote – It is pretty difficult to build any business without choosing to promote a product you are uncertain. When you talk to prospects about a product you are uncertain of, it will show up in your body language and that tends to put people off buying it from you. It is pretty disheartening to hear that your prospect goes on to buy it from another distributor but rather than get frustrated, your best bet is to figure out why there was no trust when you approached them. It will probably come back to a question as to whether you really do believe in the product. Get more education on the product and see whether you can stand by it or not.
Retail And Use The Product – This leads on from the last point. If you completely believe in the product then you must be using it yourself. Most companies will add on your personal use to wards any compensation plan they have in place. Also, make sure that you have a steady, regular set of customers who use your products regularly. This will start to give a sense of security because you realize that whatever you do, you will have a certain amount of income coming into your bank account as a result of the sales you consistently make from selling the product to retail customers who trust your opinion.
Recruit New Team Members – You may find that some of your best recruits come from your team of retail customers because they have used the product themselves and are enamoured with it. However, this third section is where a lot of your recurring income will come from so learning strategies to invite people to take a look at the business is essential. Do not buy into the idea that you have exhausted everyone you know and so therefore you are unable to speak to anyone else. There are seven billion people on the planet; you can find new groups of people to get in contact as long as you are willing to do the work. Determine to use online methods of attraction as well as offline methods. You are no longer constrained by the methods of the past.
